Bio

Dr. Mindy Welch joins UMHB full-time after being an adjunct professor since the spring of 2010.  After obtaining a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, she became an active member of the advertising communities in northern Austin and throughout the Central Texas area.  Mindy joined the team at Scott and White in the Marketing Department, and left as the Manager of Creative Services in 2010.  Having worked with a multitude of both local and national advertising agencies, Mindy received her MBA from UMHB in 2009 and immediately began looking into teaching possibilities.  In January 2010, she passed the Project Management Professional exam to obtain the certification through the Project Management Institute.  After that, Mindy began immediately working on her Doctorate of Administration in Marketing at Walden University.  Mindy completed her doctoral degree in December 2012.  With research focuses in consumer behavior, social media, marketing strategy and social media, Mindy enjoys doing qualitative research.  Originally being an Army brat, Mindy is from everywhere in the United States, but came to Belton in high school, and has enjoyed living in the Belton community with her two children.  In her off time, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, practicing classical guitar and ukulele, watching Super Bowl commercials, and writing stand-up comedy.  Mindy also enjoys spending time with her church family, Foundation Methodist, and enjoying studying the Word through in-depth readings and study groups.
