Jeff Sutton joined the Development staff as the new Director of Alumni Relations on January 2, 2017. Jeff is a familiar face in our campus community, having served as the Assistant Director of Campus Activities at UMHB for 9 years.
Jeff graduated from UMHB with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion in 2007. During his years as a student, he served as a ministry intern at First Baptist Church of Belton and participated in local and international mission efforts through the nonprofit group Hope for the Hungry. Jeff’s commitment to Christian service was recognized when he was selected as a senior to portray Christ in the university’s 68th annual Easter Pageant. Since joining the UMHB staff as Assistant Director of Campus Activities, he has overseen programming for undergraduate student activities and supervised the planning and staging of annual events such as Family Weekend, Miss Mary Hardin-Baylor Pageant, Crusader Knights, and the Easter Pageant.
Jeff is married to Jen Savage Sutton (also Class of 2007), who works as Director of Children’s Ministries at Hope for the Hungry, and they have two children: Jude and Millie. They are members of First Baptist Church of Belton, where Jeff serves as a deacon.
