Favorite Thing About UMHB

The community. The friendships and connections I made during my time as a student at UMHB are unmatched, and the opportunities that resulted from those relationships have been tremendously instrumental.

About Me

I am from Red Oak, Texas, which is south of the Dallas Metroplex. I am so very excited to be back in Central Texas! I am the recruiter for the area that includes Houston, Texas. I enjoy reading as well as athletic and outdoor recreation. One of my favority things to do is to spend time with my family and watch my beautiful nieces and nephew grow. My UMHB experience is a huge testament to the person I am. As a student, I was highly involved, participating in Residence Life, speech team, newspaper and yearbook publication, Easter Pageant and Student Foundation.

Fun Fact

I am a freelance writer.

UMHB Journey

I initially committed to a different university when I was a high school senior. With my decision came great anxiety that I couldn't ignore. Other schools had competitive academic programs that attracted my interest, but UMHB's Christ-centered mission permeated nearly every aspect of my school visit. After some re-evaluation, I changed my mind and committed to UMHB. I knew that I could get a good education at any of the other schools, but it was only at UMHB that I saw an opportunity to grow in a faith-based community and continue developing my relationship with the Lord. Since choosing UMHB, I have been able to develop lasting, healthy relationships and securely walk in the path the Lord has planned for me.
