Ms. Reppond grew up in a military family and had the great opportunity to live overseas in Germany as well as several other places in Texas. Her love of travel and curiosity of other cultures and language was stirred at a young age. She is a proud Texas Aggie. She graduated with a BBA following that with a Masters of Management where she used her education, skills, and experience to work in a couple of fortune 500 companies. In corporate America she learned that training and teaching people was a strength. So, she pursued that, and it brought her to an agency with the State of Texas and then onto Rice University. After some years teaching and training the faculty and staff, she moved on to work in a community college in Houston where she learned that her real strength was in teaching English to non-native speakers. After becoming a certified tutor and taking certifications to teach ESOL, she took on a very active role in not only teaching students, but tutoring them as well as putting on her management hat to go into advising of ESOL students as well as training employees to do the same. During this time, she also embarked on a Master’s Degree specializing in teaching ESOL students. Currently, Ms. Reppond is taking classes to achieve her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. She is married to Travis Reppond and is very proud of his 24 years of service to the Army, and they have 3 boys. They attend First Baptist Church Holland.
