Dr. Jodi Pilgrim
Jodi joined UMHB in 2007 and is now an associate professor in the College of Education. She teaches literacy courses, including Reading and Language Arts in the Elementary School, Disciplinary Literacy, and Children's Literature. With more than 10 years of experience in developing literacy in children, Jodi's passion is working with struggling readers. She enjoys membership in the International Reading Association, the Literacy Research Association, the Texas Association of Literacy Educators, and the Association of Teacher Educators. Jodi also serves as a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She currently resides in Belton with her husband Michael and her daughters Regan, Rachel, and Jordan.
