Bio

Robert Pendergraft joined the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor faculty in the Fall of 2016 as Assistant Professor of Church Music after seven years in full-time church music ministry. An ordained Southern Baptist minister, Robert’s passion is getting the entire congregation, from the youngest child to the oldest senior adult, actively participating in corporate worship. Prior to coming to UMHB, Robert served Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Arlington, TX.  Robert holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Music Education from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Robert is married to Rachel (2009) and they have three children, Geneva Grace (b. 2013), Judson Beddome (b. 2015), and Katharina Prentiss (b. 2017).
