Chrisann Merriman, Ph.D., is a Professor of Marketing at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor located in Belton, Texas. In addition to her role as a Professor of Marketing, Dr. Merriman also serves as the Director of Online Faculty Development and the Interim Director of Distance Learning at UMHB. Dr. Merriman has taught online courses at various universities since 2001. Dr. Merriman is a Professional Certified Marketer through the American Marketing Association and successfully completed the Distance Learning Certified Trainer Program through West Georgia University. Dr. Merriman teaches undergraduate and graduate marketing and management courses online as well as in face-to-face environments. Dr. Merriman has 10+ years of experience in various marketing positions within the technology sector including multinational corporations as well as entrepreneurial ventures. Research and publication areas include applied educational technology in the learning environments, marketing strategy, as well as presenteeism. She is also the 2017-2018 President of the Marketing Educators' Association (MEA) and Co-Program Chair for the 2018 MEA Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Merriman has a Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University, an M.S. in Business Education and an M.B.A., Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. During her downtime, Dr. Merriman enjoys spending time with her husband, Kelly, and son, Owen, taking care of their Texas Longhorn cattle.
