Dr. Rebecca Scoggin McEntee

Dr. Rebecca Scoggin McEntee is in her second year of teaching Journalism and Photojournalism at The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Dr. McEntee received her Ph.D. from The University of Texas after working as a photo editor for six years, and staff photographer for fourteen years at the Austin American-Statesman in Austin, Texas. Prior to working at the Statesman, Rebecca’s career included photography, videography, writing, editing, and television news reporting with a variety of media and state organizations, which included the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas State Health Department. Her visual communications research and dissertation has focused on the editing of war imagery that portrays U.S. women in combat.
