Favorite Thing About UMHB
Can I say all of it? Truly, UMHB is a wonderful place. Each and every staff & faculty member treated me with respect and understanding while I was a student. The campus is absolutely gorgeous and continues to expand and improve. Our Cru athletics are all great and a joy to watch. There is so much delicious food around. I mean, there really isn’t one thing about UMHB I don’t like.
I’ve lived in Belton nearly my whole life. I love all things sports and listening to music. I’m passionate about the Dallas Cowboys and Freebirds World Burrito. I spend almost all of my free time watching Netflix, Disney+ or Hulu. If I could pick anyone in the world to read me a bedtime story it’d be Coach Ed Orgeron - geaux tigahs! I’m so incredibly excited and thankful to be working as an Admissions Counselor for my favorite university!
I can sing What a Wonderful World while sounding identical to Louis Armstrong.
Growing up in Belton, I spent a ton of time around the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. My great grandmother was a professor here and both of my grandparents attended. As I got older and started looking at more colleges, I kept coming back to UMHB. When I was in high school, a lot of people would say, “There’s no way I'd go to UMHB! No way I’m staying in Belton!” I did it and I’ve loved every second of it. As a student, I worked a couple off-campus jobs as well as being a Resident Assistant in McLane Hall. During my two years in McLane, I met a few awesome guys that I'm still close with (s/o). I have loved every second of my life that has been correlated with UMHB in some fashion, and I am thrilled to work with others who look to start a similar journey! Go Cru!
