Bio
Dr. Hannah M. Johnston received her B.S. degree from Abilene Chrisitian University (ACU) in 2013. In 2018, she obtained her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Texas Chrisitan University (TCU) under the direction of Dr. Kayla N. Green. In her graduate school work she synthesized tetra-aza macrocyclic complexes and studied their use a therapeutic agents to treat neurodegenerative diseases. In 2018 she took a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Lexington, VA. While at VMI, she taught General Chemistry I and Inorganic Chemistry. Dr. Johnston joined the faculty, as an Instructor, at UMHB in the Fall of 2019.
