Dr. Ho-Chang Chae
Master of Science in Information Systems
Dr. Ho-Chang “Michael” Chae is an assistant professor of Master of Science in Information Systems at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He holds his Ph.D. in Business Computer Information Systems and M.S. in Information Technologies from the University of North Texas. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from Hanyang University in South Korea. Before joining to UMHB, he taught at West Liberty University. Prior to returning to academia, he co-founded Infinity Teleradiology, an IT company that provides hospitals and medical imaging centers with digital radiology solutions and teleradiology services, and worked as chief information officer. He also worked as web developer, network manager, and director of business solutions. When he doesn’t teach and research, he likes to learn about history, go camping or travel all around the world.
His research is to understand how information technologies impact business performance such as customer satisfaction and employee capability. He is also investigating how individual differences such as cognitive styles, creativity, and innovativeness influence the discovery of emerging technologies. His research was published in MIS Quarterly.
