Favorite Things About UMHB

There are so many things that I love about UMHB. My top three favorite things are the faculty/staff, the campus, and the community. The faculty/staff here always showed me love and kindness. Whether it was a maintaince worker with a friendly smile, a professor who pushed me to acheive my goals, or my work study boss checking in on me, everyone treated me as if I was family. The campus is stunning and I am always proud to show it off on tours. The community at UMHB is unmatched. I made so many connections and friendships here and I am so grateful for them all!

About Me

I am the Southeast Texas Admissions Counselor. I worked in the Admissions Office as a student worker, then in Financial Aid as a graduate assistant, and now I'm back in Admissions and excited to use my experiences to serve students and families. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in psychology and am currently working on my Masters in Counseling degree. I met my husband here at UMHB and we live in Round Rock, TX and have the cutest puppy in the world! We love serving together in our church's high school ministry, trying restaurants around the Austin area, and watching reality TV shows.

Fun Fact

I am a middle child and me and my two sisters all attended UMHB!

My UMHB Journey

I first came to UMHB when my older sister had a campus tour and I tagged along. I immediately fell in love with the campus. We literally pulled into the parking lot and I said "I think I'm going to college here". For me, UMHB has always felt like home. Over time, I just started to fall even more in love with the campus and all it had to offer. Throughout my time at UMHB, I was able to get involved with different organizations, serve in a local church's youth ministry, and make lifelong friendships and memories. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting my Bachelor's and now Master's degree here and am blessed to work at a place that means so much to me. I am excited to help students as they begin their own UMHB journey!
