Favorite Thing About UMHB
The UMHB community. That's why I fell in love with the university in the first place. It just felt like home from the start!
I grew up in Lawton, OK which is a short four hours north of Belton. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UMHB and also met my wife at UMHB. Together we have a Golden Retriever named Bentley and have called Belton home for the last 5 years.
I played soccer at UMHB for four years.
Looking back, it has very clearly been God's plan for my life to attend UMHB. I originally got connected in 1997 through my grandfather who used to work here, in International Admissions. Then my junior year of high school I started looking intently at universities and I ended up being recruited to play soccer here. It was actually at my grandather's funeral that I met a local pastor from Belton that got me connected with the UMHB soccer coaches, which was pretty surreal in retrospect. I graduated in the Fall of 2018 from UMHB and have been working in admissions since September 2019.
